Context

Oasi Dynamo extends over one thousand hectares in the heart of the Pistoia Apennines, at altitudes ranging from 700 to over 1,100 meters above sea level. Restored in 2006, it now represents an integrated model of environmental conservation, responsible management, and social impact.

The project is built on four pillars — research and education, art, hospitality, and agriculture — which operate in synergy to enhance biodiversity, promote knowledge of ecosystems, and generate value for the territory and local communities.

In this context, FSC forest management certification represents a concrete tool to demonstrate a verified commitment to responsible forest resource management.

The project

Since 2023, the forest areas of Oasi Dynamo have been FSC® certified within the Group Certification managed by Etifor (FSC-C181022).

The certification helps ensure that the Oasis’ forest management complies with the national FSC Forest Management standard, which in turn aligns with the 10 internationally recognized FSC Principles, strengthening the commitment to biodiversity protection and environmental responsibility.

There is no fixed end date: the pathway is designed to ensure continuity and long-term maintenance.

Our contribution

As the FSC Group Certification Manager, Etifor supported Oasi Dynamo in achieving forest management certification.

Today, we provide ongoing support for maintaining the Group certificate through:

  • technical consultancy;

  • sharing of documentation and operational tools;

  • support in ensuring compliance with FSC standard requirements;

  • assistance during surveillance audits conducted by the Certification Body.

Through the Group Certification scheme, we support Oasi Dynamo in consolidating a forest management model aligned with its conservation goals, social responsibility, and territorial enhancement objectives.
