The climate crisis demands a significant reduction in carbon emissions across all sectors. Levico Acque – a company that bottles natural mineral water from high-altitude springs in Trentino – has decided to face this challenge with an ambitious goal: to contribute to global objectives for climate and nature.
This approach not only reduces the company’s environmental impact but also actively helps mitigate climate change, generating positive impacts for both the environment and people.

Levico Acque has embarked on an innovative journey to become the first “Human Positive” mineral water brand in Italy.
Since 2017, the company has measured 100% of its CO₂ emissions, using a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach to continuously monitor impacts throughout the entire product life cycle. This process led to the achievement of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

Following Etifor’s MARC approach (Measure, Avoid, Risk, Capture & Communicate), Levico Acque implemented actions within its production processes that have led to continuous improvements in environmental performance, reducing its CO₂ emissions every year in line with the targets set by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Since 2024, the company has also introduced a participatory plan involving staff and suppliers to further reduce emissions and manage climate-related risks.

From the beginning of its journey to 2024, Levico Acque has supported reforestation projects such as Bosco Ralser (Brennero) and Bosco Mortise (Padua), contributing to the capture and storage of over 50,000 tonnes of CO₂.
These interventions not only help reduce atmospheric greenhouse gases but also preserve biodiversity and enhance ecosystem resilience.
