Would you like to learn more on participatory urban forests design?

The term “urban forest” refers to all the urban trees in a city, whether on public or private land, which form the city’s forest network. Urban forests can provide environmental, social, economic benefits and represent an efficient tool for the development of more livable and resilient cities. Today, recent technology is helping us improve urban forests, as well as monitor and understand the health of urban trees. However, one of the main factors for the successful implementation of urban forestry projects is the support from the local community. Therefore, participation and engagement actions are key to build new green spaces.

This webinar discusses different strategies adopted by cities across Europe to partner with people and local stakeholders to promote the green transition and improve the quality of life of urban dwellers.

The event is organised by Etifor, Sustainable Forestry Connecting Nature Ambassador, and Róisín Byrne, Landscape Architect and NBS for Urban Landscapes Connecting Nature Ambassador.
