  • a person with a keen interest in climate and environmental issues, in particular from a corporate sustainability perspective;
  • a person with a good knowledge of the Lombardy region (Italy) industrial and economic context, its business networks and corporate sustainability outlook;

About the job

You will support the members of the team.

And you will:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of private companies that aim to generate positive impacts on climate and biodiversity by investing in forests and environmental projects, including companies that aim to become Climate Positive by applying our MARC method (Measure, Avoid, Risks, Capture & Communicate);
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the WOWnature® community by engaging with new clients (B2B), raising private sponsorships for forests and environmental projects, especially in Lombardy;
  • Promote Etifor and WOWnature in Lombardy by taking part in events, workshops and networking activities;
  • Engage actively in the shared-management, team and strategy building activities of the company;
  • Coordinate with the sales and marketing team at Etifor, and report to the Private Sector Director.

Other responsibilities may be added to value specific skills of the candidate.

Qualification, experiences and skills required

Educational background & Experience:

Master’s Degree related to economics, sustainable development, forestry and/or natural resource management, environmental engineering.

Any Master’s Degree will be evaluated if backed up by relevant thematic experience for the position.

Experience

At least 2 years of working experience with a relevant role for this position.

We will consider a plus:

  • working experience, business network and/or residence in Lombardy;
  • working experience with climate related risks and/or emission reduction plans and strategies ;
  • international experience.

Skills

We are looking for a person with:

  • fluency in Italian and English. Preferences for candidates with knowledge of other international languages;
  • strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude;
  • excellent interpersonal and oral communicational skills;
  • strong commercial and marketing aptitude;
  • personal and professional interest in climate and environmental issues, in particular from a corporate sustainability perspective;
  • good level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.).

We will consider a plus:

  • knowledge of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification system;
  • knowledge of the basics of carbon footprint and LCA approaches and methodologies.

Contract Start Date

Asap, from February 2022

Location

Piazza Alcide de Gasperi n. 41, 35131 Padova, Italy. Possibility to work remotely if based in Lombardy.

Contract type

  • 1-year fixed term contract (with a view to becoming permanent);
  • If under 30 years old, 3-year apprenticeship contract based in Padova (with a view to becoming permanent);
  • Starting gross salary range: depending on experience and contract type within CCNL salary range.

Full time contract (CCNL commercio)
