  • someone with strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude, able to work independently while supporting the team members to deliverer high quality projects and consultancies to private companies that aim to become Climate Positive and generate positive impacts on the environment;
  • a colleague with excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, and with a commercial and marketing aptitude to support our sales team;
  • a person with a proven technical background in forestry and/or natural resources management, with a specific interest in climate crisis solutions and corporate social and environmental responsibility;

Job responsabilities

  • Manage a growing pipeline of private clients and partners that aim to become Climate Positive and generate positive impacts on the environment by applying our MARC method (Measure, Avoid, Risk, Capture & Communicate);
  • Engage with new clients and contribute to the development and growth of the WOWnature® community: our web platform that connects landowners, citizens and private companies who want to support projects to grow new trees or protect existing forest areas;
  • Coordinate tree growing and sustainable forest management projects supported by the WOWnature community in Italy and at global level, including difficult socio-economic contexts;
  • Engage actively in the shared-management, team and strategy building activities of the company;
  • Coordinate with team members at Etifor, and report to the Unit Director.

Other responsibilities may be added to value specific skills of the candidate.

Qualification, experiences and skills required

Educational background:

  • Master’s Degree (MSc) related to forestry, natural resource management or environmental economics;
  • Any MSc will be evaluated if backed up by relevant thematic experience for the position.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience with a relevant role for this position;
  • International experience, in particular in developing countries (including international volunteering or studying experiences), will be considered a plus.

Skills

  • Fluency in English and Italian. Preferences for candidates with knowledge of other international languages, in particular French and/or Portuguese;
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communicational skills;
  • Sales, commercial and marketing aptitude;
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude;
  • Personal and professional interest in sustainability and climate issues;
  • Good level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, cloud services, etc.);
  • Knowledge of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification system will be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of the basics of carbon footprint and LCA approaches and methodologies will be considered a plus.

  • 3 years (apprendistato, under 30) or 1 year (over 30), with a view to becoming permanent;
  • Starting gross salary range: depending on experience and contract type;
  • Full time contract / Part time contract (CCNL commercio).
