Participate in the Green4C Business Innovation Challenge and gain access to the Summer School in Green Care!

The megatrends are clear: today, more than half of the world’s population lives in cities where lifestyle, stressful working conditions and technological overstimulation have a negative influence on our physical and mental health. In recent years, several researchers have studied the connection between wellbeing and nature, coining the term Green Care to indicate the “range of activities that promote physical/mental health and wellbeing through contact with nature”.

Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, the Green4C project was born to promote solutions to improve health and social inclusion through the innovative use of natural resources. Green4C brings together universities, businesses and organisations to provide interdisciplinary expertise and encourage entrepreneurship through studies, events and training opportunities. Etifor is a partner of this project, where it actively contributes to training, research and communication activities.

With the aim to improve knowledge and innovation in the Green Care sector, the Green4C team works to stimulate networking between existing companies and the creation of new initiatives. To this end, the Business Innovation Challenge (BIC) was launched: a free competition open to anyone with ideas or projects involving nature, health and wellbeing.

The prize? Winners of the Challenge will gain access to the Green4C Summer School: an English language course, realised in collaboration with European universities and organisations, which will take place online (from 15 to 20 June 2022) and in Italy, at the Agripolis campus of the University of Padua (from 20 June to 8 July 2022). During these weeks, numerous experts will share knowledge and best practices regarding the Green Care sector, giving participants all the tools they need to develop their own projects. Transversal topics, such as business development, marketing, fundraising, will also be addressed, using participatory techniques and gaining experience in the field.

At the end of the school, participants will have the opportunity to do an internship at a Green Care initiative and further deepen the knowledge they have acquired.

Scholarships are also available for students from the Green4C’s partner universities.

Register by 24 April to take advantage of the ealry bird offer. The deadline to participate in the BIC is 1 May 2022, at 23.59 Italian time.
