The free webinar “ASFO come strumento di gestione del territorio” (ASFO as a land management tool), organised by ASFO Valli delle Sorgenti together with Association of Architects of Varese, the Association of Agronomists of Varese, the Municipality of Luvinate and the Parco Campo dei Fiori, will take place on the 28th of March 2022.

The aim of this training course is to present the new ASFO woodland management tool, its foundations, ho it works, and its benefits to professionals working in agriculture/forestry and planning, as well as to public administrations.

ASFO is an association made up of woodland or agricultural landowners in the Campo dei Fiori massif. The association aims to be a land management tool that proposes effective solutions to the problem of forest abandonment. ASFO changes the perception of the forest, usually understood as a context outside the inhabited area, in order to make it an integral part of the life of the local community.

Il webinar rappresenta un momento formativo che vuole facilitare le relazioni con le ASFO attuali e future, creare sinergie, realizzare nuovi prodotti e servizi grazie alla presenza di questo nuovo soggetto, oltre naturalmente a promuovere la creazione di nuove associazioni fondiarie. Infine, il seminario sarà anche un’occasione per capire meglio uno strumento nuovo in grado di cambiare il paradigma della gestione dei nostri boschi, andando verso una pianificazione condivisa improntata sulla sostenibilità.

The webinar is a formative moment that aims to facilitate relations with current and future ASFOs, create synergies, create new products and services thanks to the presence of this new entity, and of course promote the creation of new land associations. Finally, the seminar will also be an opportunity to better understand a new tool that can change the paradigm of the management of our forests, moving towards a shared planning based on sustainability.

Nicola Andrighetto of Etifor will participate in the seminar with a contribution illustrating Etifor’s direct experience in this field.
