The OGD Terme e Colli Euganei, with the support of Diego Gallo – Etifor Local Development Unit Director, has organized 4 meetings to deal with tour operators engaged in the promotion of the territory; the first round of meetings will involve the economic categories of the tourist system while the second will involve the associations that manage tourism events and services in the area.

Alpine Ecosystem Services: mapping, maintenance, management

Etifor participates in AlpES, a project designed for supporting the valorisation of alpine ecosystems, by carrying our participatory activities in the territory of the Alto Bellunese. The activities, carried out on behalf of the Veneto Region and in collaboration with the LAG Alto Bellunese and the University of Padova, aim at finding innovative management approaches of forest lands, through new products and services, including tourism and recreational activities.

Since 2011, we assist AFP (Association of Lowland Forests) in the management of 320 hectares of recreational forests in the Venice area (3 million tourist per year). The forests are both publicly and privately owned and are FSC certified. We deal with fundraising activities (€ 1.7 million in 5 years), project assistance to members, dissemination and promotion activities for the forests.

The Etifor team has realized the marketing and tourism development plan for IPA Diapason Pedemontana del Grappa e Asolano which, through participatory planning, aims at enhancing the image of the territory by selecting excellence, that can represent it at national and international level, organizing the coordinated promotion and marketing systems of the touristic offering and increasing the profitability of the touristic and food&wine sectors.

Making Good Nature is a LIFE+ Environment Policy and Governance project that identifies and quantifies the main ecosystem services provided by Natura 2000 Network sites in six Italian regions. As technical consultants, we deal with the analysis of the bibliography on ecosystem services in the forests of Lombardy; we carry out a field survey for the valuation of the touristic-recreational services in four pilot-areas; we organize and manage stakeholder consultation tables.
