A model that links different public and private water users to sustainably manage

Have you ever heard of Water Funds? These collaborative platforms can be broadly defined as a replicable financial and governance model that links different public and private water users to sustainably manage watersheds and their ecosystem services.
Due to their promising governance model that involves different sectors of society and the importance these mechanisms have gained in regions such as Latin America; Etifor, the University of Padua and The Nature Conservancy, conducted a study on Water Funds in Latin America under an institutional perspective.

If you are interested in this topic and would like to know more about these innovative governance mechanisms, please read our latest article (in Spanish), published with The Nature Conservancy.
We are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the findings of the thesis entitled: Water funds as a model for watershed governance in Latin America: an institutional perspective with focus on Colombia. The thesis was realized by Juan Diego Restrepo, current member of Etifor’s Responsible management team and ex-scholar of the TESAF Department in the University of Padua (Italy).
The webinar is organized by the Alianza Latinoamericana de Fondos de Agua and The The Nature Conservancy and it will investigate the theme of water funds as a model for watershed governance in Latin America: an institutional perspective with a focus on Colombia.
