We are an environmental consulting company. What’s our purpose? We put nature at the heart of decision-making by developing science-based solutions.
We support public and private entities that want to improve the environmental, social and economic impacts of policies, projects and investments. As a spin-off of the University of Padova and a certified B Corp; we work locally and internationally bringing scientific innovation into everyone’s life.

Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a junior web developer to develop websites, manage our company website (etifor.com) and optimise our e-commerce (wownature.eu). An enterprising person who enjoys looking for solutions to problems and does not have a rigid view of development work.
Job responsibilities
The candidate will be part of the Marketing & Communication Unit, with the aim of becoming the reference person for the management of our sites. The selected person will work alongside our Website Manager, who will take care of their training, with the aim of making them autonomous and independent in the management of their tasks.
Activities:
- managing and updating the company website (etifor.com) and other sites in WordPress;
- implementation of our e-commerce (wownature.eu) built with WordPress and Woocommerce integrated with custom systems (Symfony);
- designing the UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) of websites;
- testing and debugging the application;
- devising solutions to make sites more efficient;
- managing technical reports related to the various websites;
- managing interactions with external IT suppliers.
Educational background
Possession of a degree in a specific subject area (e.g. computer science) is not compulsory, but degrees related to this field will be positively valued. Etifor offers the possibility to undertake various training courses, and for this reason the highest willingness to keep up-to-date on topics related to one’s role is required. Experience
Candidates who have one or more years of experience in the field, developing projects in a work or university environment, will be positively evaluated.
Skills

- Understand and speak English (minimum level B2). Etifor is an international company; therefore, the official communication language is often English.
- Have at least a basic knowledge of the following programming languages: HTML, CSS and Javascript.
IT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER IF YOU…
- Have already developed sites in WordPress and Woocommerce
- Know C# and PHP programming languages
- Are familiar with the Google Workspace universe
- Have a good understanding of SEO dynamics
- Are familiar with the Symfony framework

Contract information
Start: August-September 2023
Location: the smart-working contract involves alternating remote and on-site work (our office is in Piazza A. De Gasperi n. 41, Padova, Italy). For this role, it is possible to agree on the days of on-side work, directly during the interview phase.
Length: 3 years (apprendistato, under 30) or 1 year (over 30), to become permanent
Starting gross salary range: depending on experience and contract type.
Contract type: part-time or full-time contract (CCNL Commercio)
