Etifor will participate in the 16th Conference of the Parties<\/a> to the<\/span> Convention on Biological Diversity (COP16), <\/b>which will take place in Cali, Colombia, from October 21 to November 1, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

At this crucial event, Etifor will be <\/span>present with a delegation involved in several activities<\/b> to bridge the gap between biodiversity conservation and sustainable economic development.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Notably, we will organize a key event focused on the N<\/strong><\/span>ature Positive economy <\/b>and participate in a series of other strategic meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

MAIN EVENT<\/p>\n<\/div>

Co-creating a Nature-Positive Economy: From Theory to Practice<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>

One of the highlights of our participation will be the event <\/span>“Co-creating a Nature-Positive Economy: From Theory to Practice”<\/b>, which will focus on the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) targets related to the integration of nature conservation with economic development (targets 14, 15, 18, and 19).<\/span><\/p>\n

Transitioning to a Nature Positive economy is crucial to <\/span>the success of global biodiversity goals,<\/b> and this session will address the main barriers and incentives to achieve this transition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will feature a panel discussion with industry experts who will explore the current state of <\/span>biodiversity integration into global economies<\/b> and showcase examples of business actions from the Global North and South.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will be held on Oct. 26<\/strong> and will be part of a series of meetings called \u201cSymposio internacional de econom\u00eda circular y bioeconom\u00eda<\/em><\/strong>\u201d: by registering for the event through this link,<\/a> it will be possible to attend all of the day’s meetings.
