The climate crisis demands a significant reduction in carbon emissions across all sectors. Levico Acque<\/strong> \u2013 a company that bottles natural mineral water from high-altitude springs in Trentino \u2013 has decided to face this challenge with an ambitious goal: to contribute to global objectives for climate and nature.
This approach not only reduces the company\u2019s environmental impact but also actively helps mitigate climate change, generating positive impacts for both the environment and people.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The project<\/span><\/h2><\/span>

Levico Acque has embarked on an innovative journey to become the first \u201cHuman Positive<\/strong>\u201d mineral water brand in Italy.
Since 2017, the company has measured 100% of its CO\u2082 emissions<\/strong>, using a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)<\/strong> approach to continuously monitor impacts throughout the entire product life cycle. This process led to the achievement of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Following Etifor\u2019s MARC approach<\/strong><\/a> (Measure, Avoid, Risk, Capture & Communicate<\/em>), Levico Acque implemented actions within its production processes that have led to continuous improvements in environmental performance<\/strong>, reducing its CO\u2082 emissions every year in line with the targets set by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)<\/strong>. <\/a>Since 2024, the company has also introduced a participatory plan<\/strong> involving staff and suppliers to further reduce emissions and manage climate-related risks.<\/p>\n

From the beginning of its journey to 2024, Levico Acque has supported reforestation projects<\/strong> such as Bosco Ralser (Brennero)<\/strong> and Bosco Mortise (Padua)<\/strong>, contributing to the capture and storage of over 50,000 tonnes of CO\u2082<\/strong>.
These interventions not only help reduce atmospheric greenhouse gases but also preserve biodiversity<\/strong> and enhance ecosystem resilience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Etifor<\/strong> supports Levico Acque in this journey through strategic consultancy<\/strong> and the identification of best practices for climate risk mitigation<\/strong>.
With a long-term commitment, thousands of trees have been planted across dozens of hectares to increase carbon sequestration capacity<\/strong> and promote biodiversity<\/strong>. Our work ensures transparency and visibility<\/strong> of the results achieved, making Levico Acque a replicable model of corporate sustainability<\/strong> for other companies.<\/p>\n<\/div>
